Character Traits The 7 Deadly Sins vs. The Fruits of the Holy Spirit

As we go along in life, there are certain traits that are a part of a person’s personality to make them act or behave in certain ways. Did you ever wonder why you do certain things? Or where is a particular feeling coming from. Well, we as people have a soul that inhabits our mind, will, and emotions, but we also have a spirit and when our spirit links with the Holy Spirit that means that we have confessed our sins and repented of them and linked ourselves to the Son of God/Son of Man Christ Jesus/The Messiah for the atonement/remission of our sins, so that we will be able to be back in right relationship with our Creator God/ The LORD GOD. I know everyone has their opinion, which means I am entitled to mine. Christ/the Messiah died to atone our sins, He took on our sins and then made a way for us to have eternal life, He was also raised from the dead on the third day, by God the Father. When a person believes these things, they are saved, but first they must confess their sins and then believe in their heart that the Messiah/Christ Jesus’ death, burial & resurrection, and they too can have eternal life. If you’re wondering how can that happen? Well then listen up, because we as people were cursed with death as a penalty for disobedience which is sin, then Christ makes a way for us not to have to be sentenced to a second death by going to Hell, which was created for fallen angels that fell for being disobedient. My point for saying all of this is that most people do not even realize that they are being motivated by spirits and there are character traits that people possess and they don’t even realize they are sins or fruits of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the truth and was sent from the Father. The God head is considered to be the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I explain it like Ice, Water and Steam. They all come from the same source, but act as different attributes. God the Father being the Ice, God the Son being the Water, and God the Holy Spirit being the Steam. We as people have a spirit, but at some point in your life you should wonder, who is motivating your spirit. Is lust, greed, gluttony, pride, sloth, wrath & envy motivating your choices? If so, you should think twice about what you are doing. Satan and the other evil ones operate in these sins, because the evil ones want you to disobey God and to do the opposite of the Holy Spirit. If you don’t want to cause our creator disappointment or cause Him to be angry, then why would you do everything that is contrary to His will, word or the LORD’s commands? No one is perfect, especially not me, but my character should contain some fruits of the Holy Spirit if I am a follower of Christ and a true believer. Listed below are the traits of the deadly sins and also the fruits of the Holy Spirit or character traits of the Holy Spirit. Ask yourself, what have you been more like and then maybe you will desire to make a change toward the right path. Be blessed and I hope this blog post makes you think.
